Why Myself is a Desert
Julia Bohle

"Why Myself is a Desert is photo series that explores the desert as both a real and symbolic place—a space of isolation, reflection, and transformation. Inspired by Carl Jung’s The Red Book, I use the desert as a metaphor for an inner journey: a path toward understanding myself by facing silence, emptiness, and hidden parts of the mind. This project brings together my personal memories of the Australian desert and Jung’s ideas, combining photography, writing, and materials to tell a personal story"
