Jingyi Zhang
"I have believed since childhood that everything on Earth has a soul. When I lose myself in taking photos, I feel like I can hear their echoes and sense the energy and whispers they send to me. It makes me think I can see another sensory world beyond reality."
Jingyi Zhang is a New York/Beijing-based artist who graduated from Columbia University with an M.A. in Film and Media Studies, Emergent Media track. Her work includes moving images, still photography, and interactive design, exploring metaphors embedded in natural objects and the manifestation of human intuition and subconscious in the material world. Her works have been exhibited at the Yachang Art Center and Banshan Art Museum, and she has performed at notable venues such as the National Centre for the Performing Arts and the Zhongshan Concert Hall in China.
