I don’t remember how we got there or how we left, just my brother saying, “It’s late, we have to go.” And the car, almost out of battery, that started just in time to leave behind the men who were approaching from behind (according to what we saw in the rearview mirror). They were walking slowly but steadily, taking advantage of the fading light of the sunset (that time of day when it feels like you’re blind). I still remember the silence; we acted like nothing was happening while we could hear our hearts beating fast. Two years later, I dare to look at the photo archive, and I still don’t know if it really happened or if I dreamed I was awake. I only remember trying to take pictures while the flashes of light blinded me. “Not sure if it happened” reflects on science fiction built on reality, or on the number of incredible stories and events that happen every day. “It felt like a horror movie,” we often say.
